This page is dedicated to the men and women whose works were either commissioned or chosen for the annual bassoon concours of the Paris Conservatoire.  We so often play their works, but rarely can we imagine what these people look(ed) like.  Here, at last, you can find out.

Be sure to explore the class group photos near the end of the slideshow.  They are rather amazing in that many of the them include numerous students who would go on to write for the contest.
